CLIFOOD coordination meeting at Hawassa University


From May 14 to May 18, 2017 the Delegation of the Food Security Center, University of Hohenheim visited its Ethiopian partner Hawassa University. The main purpose of the visit was the coordination meeting for the German-Ethiopian SDG Graduate School “Climate Change Effects on Food Security (CLIFOOD)", supported by the DAAD program ‘Bilateral SDG Graduate School’, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The agenda included status report for the project, discussion of the selected research topics at Hawassa University, budget planning, organization of the first block seminar for PhD candidates and other issues essential for successful project implementation. After the meeting at Hawassa University the FSC Delegation visited the GIZ office in Addis Ababa where the mutual exchange of project experience and ideas for more intensive cooperation took place.
