CLIFOOD data sharing meeting

6 March 2019, University of Hohenheim, Germany

Data collection and sharing is often a crucial issue for success and quality of doctoral dissertations. Cooperation networks become an important source of support to access required data. For this purpose CLIFOOD has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Meteorologycal Agency in Ethiopia, which assures access to meteorological data in the country. How the data collected by one researcher could be made available for other CLIFOOD scientists, was discussed during the Data Sharing Meeting on 6 March 2019. Dr. Volker Wulfmeyer, who has also initiated an idea of joint database for meteorological data for CLIFOOD scholars, chaired the meeting. Parallel the Data Exchange Agreement is prepared by the FSC and to be signed by parties involved in CLIFOOD.
