GlobE Pan-African Conference

December 2-6, 2018 in Naivasha, Kenya

From December 02-06-2018, the GlobE: Pan-African Conference took place at Naivasha, Kenya. Approaching the end of the program, all six GlobE-projects came together and shared their findings with donors, policy makers and fellow researchers. Being part of the BiomassWeb-consortium, the FSC contributed with its findings.

Regarding the potential of plantain fiber in Ghana, we are happy to be involved in setting up a low-cost, locally manufacturable extraction machine to be tested in the near future. Regarding the potential of castor seed oil in Ethiopia, through FSC staff activities, it was possible to facilitate meetings and discussions between plant breeders and the only private sector actor with the capacity to produce oil locally.
