FSC at Tropentag 2017
From September 20 to 22, 2017, FSC and a delegation from the NutritionSec project participated in the Tropentag 201 in Bonn, Germany.
The Tropentag is an annual interdisciplinary conference on Research in tropical and subtropical agriculture, Natural Resource Management and Rural Development. This year’s conference focused on the theme “Future Agriculture: Social-ecological transitions and bio-cultural shifts”. TheTropentag conference stays under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr. Gerd Müller.
FSC project manager Dr. Heinrich Hagel and four partners from the NutritionSec project, Sierra Leone, participated at the conference. Among them were Dr. Abdul Rahman Sesay, Dean of the agricultural faculty of Njala University and project coordinator Dr. Tamba Steven Sonda. During the conference they had a meeting with Monty Jones, Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security of Sierra Leone who was invited as a keynote speaker.
