FSC at Tropentag 2019

Tropentag is an annual interdisciplinary conference on research in tropical and subtropical agriculture, natural resource management and rural development. This year’s conference theme was “Filling gaps and removing traps for sustainable resources development”. Tropentag 2019 was organised by the Universities of Kassel and Göttingen, Germany. The conference venue was in Kassel.

At the Tropentag 2019 the FSC was represented by the scientific staff Nils Nölle, who hold a poster presentation on latest results of EntoNUTRI project

Several FSC scholars joined the Tropentag 2019 with the following contributions:

  • Nuttapon Khongdee: “Difficult Time for Maize Cropping: How Can we Sustain it under Climate Extremes?”
  • Pride Ebile: “Contributions of Home Gardens to Vegetable Biodiversity: A Case Study of Eco-Sustainable Gardens Empowering Minority Women in Cameroon”

FSC South-South scholar Michael Bawa, who has had his research stay at the University of Hohenheim in September 2019 (link), has as well attended the Tropentag 2019.
